Description

The essence of the Hobart Festival of Comedy's brand identity was inspired by the classic 'joker' archetype, intricately woven into the fabric of comedy. This innovative approach provided a subtle yet profound undercurrent, imbuing the branding with depth that resonated across various touchpoints. While not overtly influencing the visual direction, this thematic foundation served as a boundless source of inspiration, ensuring the brand's enduring relevance and adaptability.

This project encompassed brand design, extending all the way to website design. I collaborated closely with DarkLab to bring this vision to life.

The Hobart Festival of Comedy was a three-day spectacle of stand-up comedy, drunken theatre, unbridled wit, and carnivalesque pageantry. From 22nd to 24th March, attendees embraced the unexpected as an entire city block in Hobart transformed into a celebration of all things wild, wonky, and witty. It was a place where comedy met chaos.
